Change are seeking an experienced Business Analyst for their client, a large leading asset management firm based in Edinburgh. Prospective candidates must be able to demonstrate a proven knowledge of investment management, investment administration and have a thorough understanding of investment custody.

Job Description

The main objective within this project is to ensure that all  investment operational development is effective in design and implementation, taking the idea from proposition (Marketing or BAU) to an effective position for delivery (Change).
The role is focused on assessing the feasibility and documenting of requirements for new investment propositions including assessing capability of insource/outsource suppliers, supporting the shaping of the solution to a level of detail and planning to enable a project to move in to Delivery, ensuring appropriate operational oversight and controls are not overlooked at Feasibility stage.

Requirements

Within this high profle project, it is key that there is a very detailed investment subject matter expertise, backed up with detailed investment administration process experience - it is expected that an individual from a Custodian, TPA or Asset Management background would have this level of expertise and knowledge. Tax knowledge and experience is also required. Investment knowledge needs to cover Collectives & Securities - knowledge of SICAVs is desirable, but not essential. Experience of working with solution architecture, investment architecture and platform architecture would also be highly advantageous.

It is expected that the application of experience is used to investigate operational investment anomalies and work through appropriate process (taking the end-to-end view) to recommend appropriate process improvements from an operational investment perspective.
