The successful candidate will be responsible for building, managing and selling the entire range of liquidity solutions to the bank's corporate clients. These particular roles are within the customer facing London-based Sales function. Ideally the successful candidate will be a highly liquidity-literate, FSA-certified* world class sales individual and will be comfortable at all Sales levels from cold calling targets to discussing complex liquidity solutions with the Treasurers of some of the largest Corporates. The majority of the role will involve new-to-bank business, using established network of clients and targets. We are looking for an individual with a hunger for sales success, energy and a passion to build on the strong foundations already in place. In return we will offer scope to build a fulfilling career and packages to attract the best *obtaining FSA accreditation will be supported but is conditional To assist in delivery of the Deposits income line for UK Corporate Banking (UKCB) with the delivery of deposit product related initiatives to maximise the sales potential, customer value and profitability of the product. Support in development & delivery of the deposits product proposition to achieve better customer value. To manage a team and provide to the team and the wider frontline business on other projects and developments and deliver against defined business objectives. Requirements •Support the establishment of relationships with internal and external stakeholders. •Delivery of appropriate liabilities product solutions. •Achievement of strategic Deposit Solutions Team goals. •Improved liabilities related product penetration into existing clients through effective product innovation. •Achievement of new business targets. •Drive monthly volume (sterling and currency) targets for the territory working with RM teams within agreed pricing guidelines. •Drive deposit growth across main deposit rich sectors working with local sector teams where relevant. •Deliver weekly sales communication for all staff to share successes, opportunities, best practice and market conditions. •Attend local team meetings to help create and maintain a positive deposit gathering culture. •Sales Management •Re-launch a rolling programme of face to face training and awareness at a local level to ensure that all staff able to sell our basic deposit proposition. •Maintain a presence at local deposit rich sector events (internal and external) to help raise our profile in the marketplace. •Drive the sale of Client Money software solutions across target sectors. •Work with regional marketing contact to ensure that there is a rolling programme to promote deposits across customer, intermediary and prospect databases. •Act as the eyes and ears for the business, through pro-active feedback of competitor activity and strategies to help shape our own propositions. The Individual •Have well-developed inter-personal skills and the ability to establish robust relationships. •Be recognised as key contact of UKCB Deposit Sales team. •Have the ability to making comprehensive and relevant presentations to relationship directors and business partners, where applicable. •Good understanding of the UKCB market place and customer base. •Should promote a compliant culture within UKCB and ensure all staff responsible for, receive adequate communications around liabilities and market issues. To have a complete understanding of the controls and processes in place. •In depth deposit product knowledge across full RBSG product range (full training will be provided where necessary). Ability to influence colleague and customers to achieve desired objectives. Ability to energise others to ensure that there is a positive deposit gathering culture at all levels.
