Commodities desk quant is being hired by a Midtown based Investment Bank to work on modelling for the gas physical market. My client is putting a great deal of backing to developing out their commodities business and are making a mid - senior level hire for someone with a solid quant background to assist them in building models for the physical gas market. The ideal candidate will have previous experience of physical gas modelling from either an Investment Bank or an Energy Trading house. Requirements: - 5 yrs+ quant modelling experience in a Front Office/Trading desk environment - 2 yrs+ experience of working with commodities products, preferably gas physicals - Strong mathematical skills in numerical methods, PDEs etc - Programming skills in C++ - Delivery focused environment where you can work directly with traders - PhD in a Hard Science from a leading faculty For a role which will allow you access to traders and the ability to see the results of your physical gas models directly, send your resume to Kunjal Tanna immediately for interviews.
