Core responsibilities:

- Ensuring that all controls are completed, with appropriate follow up of exceptions
- Liaising with Operations to ensure accurate settlement
- Monthly Review and substantiation of the Balance Sheet and P&L
- Reconciliation of the Front Office MIS PNL to the PNL posted in the Financial Accounts
- Assessing whether the FXMM front to back controls are appropriate
- Assess the impact of new business initiatives, being involved throughout the project, define posting flows and adequate controls, perform testing and control upon implementation.
- Analyse risk weighted assets in order to provide an understandable overview of capital exposure to business management. Remediate any unnecessary Capital exposure where possible
- Understand in detail the FXMM portfolio and process in order to provide effective and reliable cover.

This is NOT a production P&L role. You will be involved in the business, interacting with front and back office staff. This is a progressive internation investment bank with clearly defined career paths and opportunities for high performers.

To be considered for this role, the ideal candidate will be a qualified accountant with a strong understanding of financial instruments across a wide range of products including derivatives, cash, rates, credit, equities and commodities. In addition you will have a strong understanding of the main concepts of P&L, attribution, risk analytics and accounting.
