Our client is an expanding financial services organisation who are currently re-structuring their L&D division and looking for a regional manager to lead the function.
Reporting direct to the global head of L&D based in Europe, you will be responsible for all L&D activity for the Asia Pacific (APAC) region and manage a small team predominantly based here in Hong Kong. You will look at regional activities currently in place and work with the global team to detail ways of improving efficiencies and tailoring the solutions to each of the 9 countries regionally. There will be a small delivery element to the role, however that will focus on the more senior level individuals in the business and most of the delivery piece is handle by external suppliers, you will need to manage these closely. Alongside this you will work on design aspects for L&D and coach and guide your team to provide an all encompassing and thorough learning platform.
Ideally degree educated we are looking for someone with a minimum of 8years L&D experience, financial services experience is not essential but you will need to demonstrate extensive regional experience within an inhouse environment. Previous management responsibility would be nice, however this is not essential and someone with an outgoing and persuasive personality with attributes to lead would be considered. English language skills are essential with Cantonese or Mandarin skills regarded as advantageous. For this role, applications from outside of Asia will not be considered.
