Due to regional growth a global Investment Bank is looking for an experienced Strategic Projects and Change Manager to drive large scale initiatives across Asia. The team provides cross product (Equities/Credit & Rates/Commodities) business planning and transformation coverage within the Asian Investment Banking Operations group.
Responsibilities:
Review and support business acquisition, disposal or strategic alliance initiatives affecting the for the Region
Partner with the business to understand business direction and integration objectives for the Bank in the affected country
Lead the local project manager in the affected country to plan for and monitor the integration initiative post acquisition, covering different aspects on resources, location, data segregation, conversion approach, etc.
Co-ordinate with regional product teams to provide guidelines and support for sharing of experience and best practice with the local team
Manage a complete Operations plan addressing operational issues pre-integration, at integration and after integration
Experience
Work in investment banking environment with exposure to different functions for 8 – 10 years, of which at least 5 years managing big projects
Ideally an understanding of the operations function within an Investment Bank, and a broad product knowledge
Able to understand broader business direction and big picture
Apply a risk-based approach in problem solving taking into account business priority
