nab Integrated Capital Solutions (nabICS) provides equity and hybrid debt funding solutions to successful mid-size private companies across Australia. On the back of its success to date, strong portfolio of investments and continued deal flow, the nabICS team is expanding to support both existing and future nab clients. You will currently be working as an Associate Director, looking for a step to a Director role, either now within the next 12 months.

As an Associate Director / Director within nabICS, you will be skilled in originating and executing corporate finance type transactions, ideally with a private equity background. You will have a strong understanding of traditional private equity models and frameworks and have had exposure to strategy setting and implementation within corporate environments. It is likely that you will have had previous experience of leading teams and being responsible for junior members of staff.

Other aspects key to the role:

  • Establishment and development of strong relationships with Relationship Managers
  • Working closely with team members in an open, collegiate and inclusive manner
  • Proactive identification and pursuit of investment opportunities from within the Bank
  • Coaching and development of more junior members of the team
  • Assist Relationship Managers in building new and developing existing relationships with customers of the Bank

You will be tertiary qualified in Finance and / or Accounting and possess a minimum of 7 years' experience gained in corporate finance/recovery, management consulting or private equity / principal investment. It is essential that you possess relevant skills in corporate finance combined with a strong understanding of equity and hybrid products, structuring of equity transactions, financial, commercial and legal due diligence processes, legal documentation, execution experience, and demonstrable team leadership capabilities. CFA or similar post-graduate qualifications combined with private equity or professional corporate finance experience would be highly regarded.
