Business Analyst - MI Reporting - Investment Banking Front Office
Business Analyst required to join a cross divisional Programme to implement a strategic MI Reporting and Planning toolset across the Investment Banking Businesses. A BA is needed to join the current 15 man programme team. The focus will initially be on the Planning stream, rolling out new planning processes on the current platform and critically assessing process enhancements and efficiencies required in the live processes. As the 2010 book of work builds, the BA may also work on developments in the Cognos reporting suite.
The Business Analyst is the key interface to the front office and must manage the relationship between the business, Finance and IT. The Business Analyst is specifically responsible for Requirements gathering, UAT management and Procedure Documentation.
Essential Skills: * A proven track record of business analysis work within the Front Office Investment Banking industry, in a large scale, complex programme environment. * Strong working knowledge of Hyperion Planning and Essbase (System 9) * There is an SME on the team handling the technical Essbase work but we need someone who can liaise with this developer with regards to Essbase related issues and problems. * Our client does not need a hands on Essbase technologist although a technical background with hands on Essbase experience will be a major bonus. * Candidate must be able to think critically, analyze workflows and data, draw conclusions and suggest potential solutions to mitigate risk exposure and/or improve efficiency. * Can understand data issues, hierarchy management, data migration and validation. * Excellent oral and written communication skills necessary to effectively communicate issues, risks and progress on complex processes to multiple stakeholders including Front Office, IT and Finance.
