For the credit risk management department we are looking for a credit analyst. As credit analyst you analyze and rate counterparts for all Nuon Energy divisions with the aim to minimize potential and actual credit losses within Nuon Energy Sourcing and other business units of Nuon. You make analyses of the industry and portfolio risk and reviews losses incurred by Nuon entities with the aim to improve analytics, processes and portfolios. Job description A big part of your job is analyzing counterparties (trading, wholesale, treasury etc) You will review financials, business positions, SWOT, management, strategy in the context of industry risk and peer analysis and recommends and/or approves limits and transactions within the approved policies and authorities. This includes obtaining and searching for relevant information in order to carry out this task in a meaningful way. Review of portfolio Your responsibility is to keep on top of developments in the market with a view to Nuon Energy’s existing portfolio and recognize early warning indicators from several sources in order to reduce credit losses for Nuon. Making recommendations are regarding appropriate actions and exit strategies is part of your job Daily activities: - make reviews and updates of standard of rating approaches and analysis within the Credit Department - you are responsible to ensure that rating approach is in line with best practice within the industry as well as reviews analysis of Credit Officers and provides analytical training to all team members. - you will provide training to other business units (such as Nuon Business) to enhance understanding as to the importance of credit input and analysis to protect the P&L. - manage to review allocated accounts within 2 days for simple ones and 5 days for complex group structures. - you will have a portfolio of approx 40 names allocated for daily review - you will shares responsibility with other credit staff for the portfolio as a whole - you will provide training to junior credit officers on credit analysis - you will make recommendations about limits to Senior Credit Analyst and-or Credit Manager Qualifications • University degree in Finance, Accounting or Economics • 3 to 5 years experience within credit analysis, preferably in a financial institution Futher information For further information or more information about the position, please contact Linda van Delft 0031-652599260 We look forward to receiving your application together with your CV and personal letter via the below "apply" link.
