The risk team is part of Equity Derivatives Technology group providing solutions to allow to evaluate risk, and view PnL. This team works on global applications that provide Risk and Pnl services for the Equity linked desks across the regions. This team works on global applications that provide Risk and Pnl services for the Equity linked desks across the regions. Responsibilities of the role: • Gather business requirements from front office business staff to produce technical requirements and work with global colleagues to drive implementation. • Work with global development teams and demonstrate leadership on the global stage. • Demonstrate experience and understanding of Development methods. • Ensure timely translation of requirements using good design processes. • Implement solid solutions with C# • Write unit test cases • Ensure the integrity of the build through integration testing • Liaise with QA to ensure quality is built in. • Communicate effectively with local and global business analysts and users. • Follow up with application support that cannot be resolved by tier 1 and tier 2 support teams. • Demonstrate good communication skills to build strong relationships with Front Office and Middle Office users A good understanding of the derivatives business and risk is essential. Requirements of the role: • Strong C# fundamentals, .NET and TIBCO • Good understanding on database basics (SQL, DDL). • Good design sense, including knowledge of common design approaches. • Strong analytical skills required to investigate and solve technical problems. • Very good communication skills and ability to coordinate different tasks and work with different stakeholder groups on a global scale. • Must demonstrate a solid knowledge of derivatives risk, volatility and trade executions flow. • Exposure to financial industry, particularly to equities business, trading systems.
