OVERALL PURPOSE OF JOB: To set, direct, manage and lead the company’s marketing and communication strategies: • Developing and building the company Brand to increase market awareness and presence • establishing and developing a direct income stream through e-commerce and telemarketing KEY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: -To participate as a member of the senior management team in driving the business forward in terms of profitability and growth -To hold overall responsibility for the development and implementation of a comprehensive communications strategy for the dissemination of information both externally and internally -To develop and build the company brand and then to grow brand recognition and presence within the sector, impacting positively on sales performance -To establish and maintain brand consistency globally with responsibility for quality execution across the group -To build and develop the company corporate identity and internal communication -To establish, build and manage constructive relations with national, international and trade media -To be responsible for Web based business, direct marketing and tele-sales strategy -To be accountable for delivering the direct GPI targets as set in the business plan TECHNICAL SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED: -7-10 years operational experience at a senior level -Previous experience in the Insurance sector preferable -Must have experience and in depth working knowledge of internet, direct and tele-marketing -CIM qualified and registered -Educated to degree level OTHER SKILLS REQIRED: -Entrepreneurial, flexible and willing to work in a non-corporate, fast moving environment -Must be willing to create strategies and also have hands on approach -An ability to influence and inspire others -A proven track record in brand development and communications -Self motivated with a determination to get things done -An excellent communicator and people manager OTHER SKILLS AND REQUIREMENTS: This is a great opportunity for someone looking to be able to make a positive difference.
