Core responsibilities include: • Approval and processing of the revenues, expenditure position control documents, departmental budgets and the payroll. • Periodical updates of the Finance department policies and procedures and the overall firm’s expense policies. • Monitoring and reporting on the Company’s financial plans and results to the CEO/Chairman on monthly basis and to the Regulator and the BOD on quarterly basis. • Preparing information reports and analyses as required by the management of the Company and making recommendations where required inclusive of (but not limited to) those relating to fee sharing, revenue attribution analysis, cashflow analysis, cost benefit analysis and overhead allocation across departments. • Providing support for the development of the Business plans and Budgets’ framework and guidelines that enabled the preparation of comprehensive, timely and reliable information to Leadership Committee and the Board of Directors. • Providing support on various specific advisory tasks for management and all the operating units of the company for all their transactions from risk management and accounting prospective. • Liaising with the external auditors and regulatory bodies on the financial and regulatory reporting requirements of the Company and the Funds managed by the company. • Liaising with the internal auditors regarding internal audits on the Company and its policies and procedures. • Ensuring knowledge of and performing all the duties and requirements of a Finance Officer under the Dubai Financial Services Authority (DFSA) Regulatory regime and to adhere to the core principles for the Authorised individuals. • Preparing the company accounts in accordance with the IFRS. • Consulting with and reporting to the CEO on the above. Job Requirements: • Bachelor degree in Finance and Accounting • CPA (Prefereably American) • IFRS and DFSA rules • Team player, interpersonal skills, leadership skills, strategic thinking, communication skills, analytical ability, decision making, planning and organizational skills, problem solving. • Languages: English (Arabic a plus). • 7 years of experience in a Financial Services institution.
