Our client is a leading financial services organisation, due to some recent changes they are currently looking for a new strategic manager for their International Assignments function.

Reporting to the global head of International Assignments, who is based outside of the Asia Pacific region, you will be responsible for all issues regarding international taxation and expatriates in the region. This is a senior level role, and we are looking for a strategic thinker who is able to work with the senior managers looking at current budgets, cost analysis for the division and the plan for expenditure for the next 2-4years all surrounding expatriates. The advice you provide will define and shape the direction of the business, the people who are brought in and the money that can be saved in this area. You will effectively be the eyes and ears for the APAC region for all expatriate taxation matters.

Ideally degree educated, we are looking for someone with a minimum of 8years expatriate management experience. Due to the technical nature of the role it is worth knowing that despite sitting within the HR function we are looking for a numbers geared individual and ideally someone with a tax background, but who wants to develop their career further in a more strategic driven role. Candidates from all sector backgrounds will be considered for the post, however you will need to demonstrate a clear understanding of expatriate taxation, the problems that this can lead to for a business and how this differs throughout the APAC region. English language skills are essential, with Cantonese or Mandarin being regarded as advantageous.
