The Investments department of ING Investment Management Europe manages a broad range of investments funds and mandates invested in equity and/or fixed income instruments. The vacancy is within the Corporate Analytics team, whose primary focus is to perform in-depth top quality company analysis. Company analysis within ING has a global scope split between developed markets and emerging markets, with both teams organised along sector lines. Company valuation and developing own forecasts on a company will be your primary focus and has the aim of making value added investment recommendations on both equity and fixed income securities. There are opportunities within the Consumer Goods and Financials sectors for Principal Investment Analysts. Main responsibilities
- To lead and coach a team of 3 to 4 analysts covering the related sector.
- To provide top-quality bottom-up company modelling, analysis, forecasts and valuation for companies active in a given industry.
- To generate value-adding investment ideas and recommendations on stocks and debt instruments.
- To ensure that the research process is consistently applied across all securities under coverage.
- To develop and maintain strong relationships with the senior management of companies under coverage and the portfolio management teams.
Main competencies and preferred education - Strong team leadership and coaching skills.
- Significant experience (at least 7 years) in conducting fundamental fixed income credits and/or equity research.
- Deep understanding of accounting and valuation methodologies of equities and/or debt instruments.
- Strong presentation skills.
- Good inter-personal and communication skills
- Relevant Master degree plus CFA or other relevant professional qualification.
- Fluency, written and verbal, in English.
