Leading financial insitution seeks a suitably equalified candidate to join their financial planning & analysis team. Using your analytical and banking systems skills, you will assist with reporting and analysis to meet business information requirements.
Responsibilities:
Ensure monthly reporting (for Bank of England, Bank of International Settlements & HMT) is completed accurately, timely and is subject to appropriate governance.
Assist with improving monthly processes to reduce manual intervention and ensure consistency between government reporting and business management information.
Provide briefings to Business Executive on all monthly reports to ensure appropriate issues are raised (and addressed by the business as appropriate).
Work with the business to help develop and deliver strategies for achievement of commitments.
Deliver any ad hoc analysis required by the government (or by Group Strategy in relation to the government) ensuring analysis provided is fit for purpose and provides a clear and accurate view of the performance of the business.
Ensure completeness and accuracy of Banking balance sheets ensuring compliance with appropriate control guidelines.
Manage Group Policy Framework requirements for the Banking team ensuring compliance with the appropriate policies.
Requirements:
2.1 degree or better in a numerate field
Knowledge of control procedures in reporting and reconciliation of Financial Information & Managament Information within banking
Advanced analytical skills
Strong Excel and Access skills
Knowledge of banking systems an advantage (e.g. Khalix, INEA, Walker GL)
Commercially aware with a good understanding of the SME business environment
