We are looking for Junior Research Associates to work in equity research within our London-based industry teams.

Position

We are looking for Junior Research Associates to work in equity research within our London-based industry teams.

Job Qualifications

Our Junior Research Associates typically have track records of outstanding academic and/or professional performance, excellent analytical / financial skills, relentless intellectual curiosity and a drive to excel at the highest level. We look for stellar academic credentials, including honours and awards, and 2:1 or First Class degrees. We want consummate team players who seek a highly rigorous and challenging environment for their career development.

We are looking for candidates who have recently graduated with degrees in quantitatively-oriented subjects (mathematics, finance, engineering, economics etc.) from top academic institutions. You may subsequently have gained up to two years’ relevant work experience. Junior Research Associates usually advance to Research Associate positions.

Strong financial modelling potential, first-class data presentation skills (in excel, word templates and powerpoint) and the ability to write perfect, factual but compelling analysis are key requirements of the role.

We want individuals with drive, competitive instinct and a willingness to go the extra mile and who can be relied upon to bring original and constructive ideas to the team.

Sanford C. Bernstein will sponsor required FSA regulatory licences, and participation in the CFA program is encouraged.

Job Description

Junior Research Associates contribute to the content and distribution of our acclaimed and highly differentiated research product at all levels:

• conducting in-depth analysis of the industry and publicly-traded companies in the sector

• building and maintaining detailed financial models including forecasts

• drafting and writing research reports

• helping formulate investment opinions

• interacting with company managements, sales and trading, and our institutional client base
