Investor Services is the business unit within State Street that supports our role as a Custodian. There are several different departments, each playing their own role in providing custody services that are highly scalable and truly global. The role of Senior Tax Administrator is to manage the team to ensure that all deliverables are produced and dispatched on time in accordance with client service level agreements and agreed quality standards. Key Responsibilities: • Lead and motivate the team • Promote and implement training and development activity for individuals and the team. Carry out team appraisals and ensure PPR system is updated within corporate deadlines. • Delegate specific tasks to team members to facilitate personal development. • Plan the production of all client deliverables in line with the Service Level Agreement. • Allocate tasks/activities to team members. • Monitor and control team’s activity to ensure that the production requirements are met • Perform quality and internal controls in respect of all team deliverables. • Monitor errors and potential breaches; escalate enquiries where further information is required. • Identify and implement process and product improvements, documenting where necessary. • Establish and maintain good working relationships with clients, third parties and colleagues, communicating effectively through formalised reporting and ad hoc liaison. The successful candidate will have a background in life fund taxation, fund accounting, fund administration or similar with experience of managing/leading a team. Applicants should ideally have Capital Gains tax experience. Candidates will also ideally hold a degree in Accounting, Finance or Economics related area or equivalent. Applicants must be able to complete tasks within tight deadlines to a high level of accuracy and must be analytical and numerate, with excellent problem solving skills.
