• Ensuring that the Finance team meets the monthly, quarterly and annual management accounting reporting requirements of the UK AIG Investments legal entities with relevant branch activities (‘London Group’).

• Prepare updated analysis for ICAAP reporting and capital adequacy requirements

• Preparation of Vat returns and corporate tax computations for the London Group in line with current guidelines

• Production and distribution of key performance indicators including AUM, etc

• Handling all queries and ad hoc reporting requirements from the London Group

• Production of relevant financial data to support the annual budgetary process

• Production of the FSA quarterly return and annual returns

• Implementation and review of internal controls and enhancing procedures to improve efficiency and streamline automation of manual processes

• Participation in developing the accounting infrastructure and application interfaces into core accounting systems

• Provide support to the CFO and UK Board where appropriate.

Qualifications

• Degree or equivalent

• ACA / ACCA Qualified Accountant or Equivalent (2 years + qualified)

Experience

• Proven experience in working in an organisation with tight Group Reporting deadlines across all Financial Disciplines (e.g. Accounts, Tax, Treasury)
• Proven experience in the Financial Services Industry preferably in a multi currency environment
• SAP package experience including production of reports and interrogation
• Ability to produce meaningful KPI’s to support business growth
• Experience of handling finance projects from start to finish
