Outstanding opportunity for ambitious, proactive Project Implementation Manager to grow and develop SE Asian CDM operations of leading investment firm

Our client, a highly successful international investment firm with significant experience across the renewable energy and carbon markets is seeking a Project Implementation Manager with responsibility for SE Asia. Based in South East Asia (Bangkok or Manila) the successful candidate will have responsibility for the management of the development of multiple SE Asian based CDM projects from validation through to successful verification and issuance. 

Key Responsibilities:

The successful candidate will;

  • Project manage the preparation and development of CDM PDD’s and guidance through the registration process;
  • Gather information to support the validation process from various stakeholders;
  • Manage the CDM validation and registration process, interact with DOE’s and other stakeholders;
  • Be responsible for the project management, design and implementation of monitoring policies and procedures and ensure successful CER issuance and liaising with DOE’s to ensure a smooth validation process;
  • Train and mentor staff;
  • Identify risks in the portfolio of projects and their mitigation/risk management;
  • Report up to date, acute and timely information to Head Office;
  • Manage and nurture a team of individuals in different nations, coordinating their activities and prioritizing work efforts.

The successful candidate will have;

• Minimum of 3 years direct CDM development experience preferably within emerging markets;

  • Strong academic background in a science, technical or engineering related discipline;
  • A Track record of direct experience of both the preparation and development of CDM PDDs and successful registration and the design and implement of monitoring policies and procedures, and of successful CER issuance;
  • Thorough understanding and knowledge of the UNFCCC and CDM processes;
  • Experience of the use of biogas related methodologies
