Department



As part of the Global Middle Office, the primary function of the Issuer Relations department is the establishment, maintenance and management of Issuer business relationships throughout Europe, the Middle East and Africa. The department provides the service for financial institutions, corporates, mutual funds, municipal governments public finance and all classes of structured finance transactions.

Responsibilities



The Role To maintain Moody's high level of service across all business areas; Issuers/Intermediaries/Internal partners. Key Responsibilities: * Actively manage all aspects of commercial relationships with existing issuers in the EMEA Region with the support of the EMEA IR team including leading high-level discussions with customers to explain fee approach and resolve pricing disputes. * Ensure a consistent approach is taken for all IR related matters across the EMEA team and where possible matches with other global teams. * Give feedback to EMEA IR managers and AVP's for team issues, process change and major impact issuer inquiries * Work alongside existing AVP's and VP's for Asia IR and US IR to effectively manage all client related IR issues for the region * Propose, define and implement strategic initiatives in line with Moody's Code of Conduct and for the continued development of the EMEA IR function and the wider global team * Obtain appropriate approvals for any pricing or method exceptions for the EMEA team and track such exceptions * Streamline and integrate processes, in conjunction with other Global Middle Office functions, to facilitate the timely receipt of rating information and applications through to the issuance of invoices and collection of revenue. * Work closely with LOB management to ensure a high level of support on all commercial / fee-related issues to ensure clear understanding of product offered. * Participation in annual and ongoing pricing review including modelling, analysis of impact, suggestions for pricing changes to Senior Management and timely notification of issuers * Advise internal clients on complex pricing structures and participate in fee discussions with new clients if and as needed * Work with Collections team to resolve any outstanding issues and to enable issuers to pay outstanding invoices * Cooperate with billing department to enable them to send invoices in a timely manner avoiding FIP Hold and Billing Hold where possible. * Undertake approvals in line with Moody's Delegation of Authority for ratings fees. * Support various internal projects if and as required

Experience



* Substantial relevant experience in financial services in a client facing role supported by an appropriate academic financial qualification * Exceptional negotiation skills - able to interact and influence senior level executives * Proven financial, commercial and business acumen * Strong people management experience * Client focused * Experience of managing process change

Qualifications



* Strong academic background - Bachelors degree (or equivalent)

Key Tech and Non-Tech Skills



* Strong IT skills including MS office, advanced Excel skills preferred Non technical skills * Strong written and verbal communication skills, and demonstrable research skills * Strong organisational and project management skills * Strong people management skills * Excellent interpersonal skills * Highly numerate and articulate * Able to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines * An international outlook, able to deal with people from diverse cultures * Ambitious and highly motivated * Client focused

Languages



* Fluency in English is essential. Fluency in another European language would be advantageous
