This role will be responsible for certain segments' Asia Trade P&L across multiple Trade products across South-East Asia which are globally owned and regionally deployed.
J.P.Morgan is looking for an experienced Product Manager to join our Trade Services group within our Treasury Services business in Singapore.
This role will be responsible for certain client segments' Asia Trade P&L across multiple Trade products across South-East Asia which are globally owned and regionally deployed. Also responsible for the unique regional products P&L assigned to this role. This role will require the need to work with Partners from all Risk Disciplines to ensure the regional deployment or unique regional product roll-out.
Day-to-day decision making related to tactical P&L ownership of the client segments and products assigned to this individual; strategic decisions made in conjunction with Global Product Managers and other Regional Product Managers inside and outside the APAC region.
A Full understanding of the profit dynamics of the product line is required: how changes in the market pricing, competitive landscape, market practice and technology and operating environment will impact the assigned product's P&L. You will need a strategic vision of where the product is going over the next 1-3 years. Responsible to translate that vision into a few strategic initiatives and many tactical steps that will help support the product's P&L growth.
The successful candidate will have in-depth knowledge of markets and clients who utilize trade products and being able to leverage this knowledge to segment and prioritize key market segments and clients to ensure maximize profitable sales with an understanding of client's broader relationship with the bank,
Responsible to provide product support to the Product Sales Specialist and Relationship Management team for the products under this role's accountability. This support entails the need to work to provide product support from the sales pitching stage, to client implementation and eventually day-to-day product issues.
Skills
Strong background in Trade Finance, preferably within a global organisation at and experience operating at a senior level
Ability to deal with multiple tasks and requests in a fast paced and evolving environment, coupled with prioritization and delivery
Effective spoken and written communication skills in English is a must, Chinese or other Asian languages would be an advantage
High level of self-motivation and intellectual curiosity are extremely important qualifiers
