Country Line Expo calculation

The Risk Measurement and Management Department is looking for an experienced Market Risk Manager to join the team in London.

ROLE SUMMARY:

Risk Measurement and Management Department (RMM) has the responsibility to calculate and validate the Country Line exposure for the Firm. Country line is a default based scenario loss against which limits are set across the bank. Calculation of country line is done within a reporting group in RMM, the Market risk team is now adding staff to validate this calc and to be the point people with the FO to explain usages and work with them to manage the exposures. To do this the new team will have to build a strong understanding of the calculation and ensure it is correctly applied to complex structures. Understanding of complex trading strategies and structures is therefore a pre-requisite for this role. This role will focus on EMEA/ ASIA exposures (delete as appropriate).

THE ROLE INVOLVES:

To identify and quantify the Firm's market and credit risks in EMEA/ASIA. Identify the various risks factors affecting the portfolio and their respective triggers. Help to develop and implement systems, policies and procedures for the identification, collection and analysis of risk related information. Responsibilities include analyzing derivatives, highly structured trades and reviewing documentation in order to properly quantify country exposure. This role will require daily interaction with the trading desks, EM structuring area and the various support areas associated with the EMEA/ASIA business.

TO QUALIFY YOU MUST POSSESS:

The candidate must comply with the following requisites:
Knowledge and experience in the EMEA/ASIA financial markets including Credit, FX, and IR.
Must have a strong understanding of derivatives.
Experience in market, credit or counterparty risk management.
Excellent interpersonal communication and problem-solving skills.
