Fraud Dispute Services Manager - London - Competitive Salary
As a FIDS Manager at Ernst & Young, you will actively establish, maintain and strengthen internal and external relationships and with guidance from partners, directors and senior managers, you'll identify potential business opportunities for Ernst & Young. By drawing on your knowledge and experience, you'll create innovative commercial insights for clients, adapt methods and practices to fit operational team and cultural needs, and contribute to thought leadership. You'll actively contribute to improving operational efficiency on projects and internal initiatives and will consistently drive projects to completion, determining that the work is of high quality. Your role in leading teams or parts of teams on engagements will depend on the size of the engagement and will be under the responsibility of senior members of the team.
Technical skills requirements * Principles of causation of damages (eg loss of profits, compensate costs, breach of warranties, misrepresentation, interest calculations) * Valuation and finance concepts (eg cost of capital, risk adjusted discount rates) * Documentation, disclosures required by local laws and regulations and e-discovery * Understanding, digesting, explaining, analysing company accounts and financial information * Modelling, testing, documenting financial scenarios and anticipating challenges * Analysing strengths/weaknesses of opposing cases, formulating alternative damage scenarios and advising on strategic implications * Technical requirements and implications of expert testimony * Preparation of expert witness reports including review, analysis and verification of evidence * Supporting expert in oral testimony and cross examination * Different dispute resolution mechanisms (eg trial, civil hearing, mediation, arbitration, regulatory/competition tribunals) * Competition disputes, intellectual property and brand integrity disputes, insurance claims, audit malpractice defense and product recall disputes * Sale and purchase agreements, completion accounts, expert determination and transaction related disputes * Liaising with clients, in-house counsel, external legal teams, witnesses, other experts * Risk management
Additional requirements * Strong academic record including a degree (in any subject) * Professional accountancy qualification * Experience in business development and network of legal contacts * Simultaneously handling diverse and pressing assignments and sensitive and adversarial situations
