We are seeking a blue chip CIO/CFO level professional with a proven track record in this specific area with native speaker level German and ideally who is a resident of Germany or Switzerland for reasons of travel and cultural requirements:

Tasks

Initial Phase:

• Collect existing ideas, plans and calculations concerning this initiative
• Gaining an overview of the current IT locations and the plans and requirements of the new systems introduction
• Developing a Project Charter and a Project Plan including business requirements, next steps, timing and responsibilities
• Identifying potential low cost locations in Eastern Europe
• Investigating local specifics, subsidies, location itself, workforce, legal and organizational situation; handling negotiations with local representatives
• Developing scenarios for the locations in question and the business cases
• Developing a recommendation for the company board
• Handling internal communications and obtaining the buy in of the leadership for the preferred solution

Implementation Phase:

• Develop roadmap and implementation plan and align with stakeholders and leadership
• Initiate, coordinate and communicate all necessary steps to put the SSC in place
• This would include set up of site, identify, source and train employees align with the systems implementation teams and organize transfer of activities to the new SSC

Requirements

• Professional with at least 15 years relevant experience in IT plus ideally in Finance / General Management and background in manufacturing companies
• Strong experience in setting up IT shared service structures in multi-national companies
• Experience in identifying locations in Eastern Europe and Eastern Germany and moving IT functions there; ideally the candidate should have already set up a SSC in these countries
• Experience in negotiating subsidies and contracts with politicians and local representatives
• Strong communicator at all levels, local as well as international and with the seniority to present and convince at Senior Management Level
• Strong project management and presentation skills
• Capable of building up and leading IT teams and to coordinate with stakeholders in different locations
• Hands-on and willing to take responsibility
• Fluent in German and English, ideally does also speak Eastern European languages
• Highly flexible and willing to travel frequently
