Role Summary: Credit Suisse's IT Financial Management department requires an assistant Controller to create, verify and maintain IT financial records. The Role Involves: As assistant controller, further develop the IT Controlling function and: • Perform root cause analysis and prepare management commentary on monthly scorecard metrics • Process monthly accounting entries relating to IT expenses • Ensure accounting complies with group policy, IT policy and GAAP • Ensure compliance with internal controls and best practices at all times • Assist in IT close reporting, including: o BD-1 projection and BD9 final results o Analytics by major account grouping (x-level) o Variance analysis and commentary • Monthly account reconciliation as part of the monthly account signoff process • Assist in maintaining fully documented procedure notes for all IT Controlling processes • Participate in local and global project initiatives (within the IT Financial Management team, and firm wide initiatives like Source to Pay, FSI etc) • Work closely with colleagues in regional offices and across other areas within IT To Qualify, You Must Possess: • Strong presentation skills are required, interaction with Sr Level Management and ability to plead a case persuasively. • Finance/Accounting undergrad • Chartered Accountant / CPA / MBA preferred • 3+ years experience in a large Financial Institution in a similar role • Committed player who meets tight reporting deadlines • Advanced Excel skills essential; Access a strong plus • Displayed ability to work with others, across business lines and geographic boundaries in an international multi-cultural environment • Peoplesoft (or similar large ERP platform) experience a strong plus • Displayed ability to work with others, across business lines and geographic boundaries Please see job description Company Profile: As one of the world's leading banks, Credit Suisse provides its clients with investment banking, private banking and asset management services worldwide.
