Investment Support Analyst

The Investment Support Analyst is responsible for liaising with internal and external parties to ensure that portfolio valuations are as accurate as possible, enabling the Portfolio Managers to manage portfolios efficiently. The role involves developing close working relationships with Portfolio Managers and other contacts to ensure that any potential issues or queries are effectively and efficiently resolved.

The Investment Support Analyst will be primarily responsible for maintaining a good working relationship with the Portfolio Managers and ensuring that queries are resolved accurately and in a timely fashion. The Investment Support Analyst will, for a given set of portfolios, be required to fulfill the following tasks:

• Monitor cash overdraft and exposure levels on portfolios and liaise with Portfolio Managers to ensure these are managed efficiently
• Ensure accurate portfolio positions are reflected on the accounting systems, and perform monthly portfolio sign offs in an accurate and timely manner.
• Monitor and facilitate the monthly performance cycle
• Respond to queries raised by the Portfolio Managers and other internal and external contacts in a timely fashion
• Work with other Operations departments and Investment teams to improve processing efficiency
• Coordinate process design and implementation for new asset types and portfolio strategies
• Complete projects as assigned

• University Degree or equivalent
• Relevant experience in an asset management, custody or investment bank environment.
• Knowledge of the performance process and calculations would be considered an advantage.
• Securities Institute /Investment Administration Qualification (IAQ) completed or completing considered an advantage

• Detailed understanding of Portfolio Management, Investment markets and settlement practices
• Strong PC skills, specifically Excel skills (Advanced + VBA)
• Analytically minded with strong problem resolving skills
• Ability to prioritize multiple responsibilities to meet internal and external deadlines.
• Ability to build strong relationships with both internal and external clients

Candidate will have experience in Investment or Asset Management and can demonstrate the ability to use his/her initiative in a business environment. This role is varied and required someone whom is enthusiastic and motivated and can demonstrate being proactive in enhancing and developing processes. Candidate must demonstrate strong problem solving skills and must be willing to assume responsibility
