The Cash Management Team within Treasury Operations is responsible for managing the Firm’s cash and liquidity positions by providing cash flow forecast to the front office traders.
Our client is seeking to build it’s Cash Management function in Singapore to support the growth of it’s business in Asia. We are looking for an experienced person to head up the small team in Singapore.
Singapore Cash Management is currently responsible for providing funding projections to Asia traded currencies. The Firm is looking to expand this role to cover all asset classes including Securities, Derivatives and Treasury. The newly appointed head will be required to consistently seek out ways to improve the function through individual and collective entrepreneurialism.
Key responsibilities include:
Day to day hands on management and leadership of the funding team
Main point of contact for funding related issues
Working closely with Operations, Traders and Banks to address funding related issues and improve communication
Work closely with International Head of Cash Management to implement global objectives, policies and procedures
Mitigation and reduction of operational risk through a review of the control environment
Seeking out ways to reduce costs and demonstrate effective cost management
Support the completion of global technology initiative to roll out the new funding platform
Develop MIS
Ensure that the function is informed of developments in the industry, and of developments potentially impacting on cash and liquidity management in liaison with other key business partners
Build and maintain relationship with Nostro agents to improve communication and identify potential cash management products to meet the Firm’s needs
Degree level education with 5 years or more Cash Management experience in a financial institution in Asia.
