Existing data warehouse consists of a SQL Server 2005 database and 
a series of SSAS OLAP cubes. These provide a base for a firm wide
| reporting system. Most of the reporting is done against the cubes
| with heavy use of MDX calculated measures. The reports are used in
| various areas of the business from risk management to investor
| relations.

| The prospective hire will be working on improvements to existing
| system as well as the next generation data warehouse, which will
| involve redesign of both underlying data models and the cubes that
| rely on them. This project provides an opportunity to work closely
| with the business side and to use the latest technology while
| solving challenging problems.
| Requirements:
| 2-5 years of experience with Microsoft SQL Server Analysis
| Services (SSAS) 2005/2008. Good knowledge of MDX.
| Expert knowledge of SQL, preferably on Microsoft SQL Server
| platform.
| Experience working with data warehouses. Understanding of
| dimensional models, slowly changing dimensions, semi-additive
| and non-additive measures.
| Knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS) a
| plus.
| Understanding of complex financial instruments and hedge fund
| trading strategies a big plus.
| Knowledge of C# a plus.
