Description of PositionThe Alternatives Product & Platform team is a product development, tools development, and project management group within the Global Investments business, and is focused on delivering strategic, high impact products for the PB, PWM, and Bear PCS Investments businesses.
(1.) New Portfolio Initiatives - drive the development of new portfolios by taking a new idea or market demand from idea generation, through business case development, legal entity and portfolio structuring, creation of operating model, to launch and initial funding.
(2.) Process Enhancement & Strategic Technology Initiatives - create/enhance processes and activities to streamline processes related to the Alternative Investments & the Funds Management businesses. The product team will enhance the overall business and operating model, build out the regulatory & governance framework, identify risks / gaps related to the end-to-end transaction process of the portfolios, and create enhancements / processes to mitigate such risks. The team will act as a change agent and will work with other groups as needed to implement change - key groups include portfolio management, front office, legal, operations, risk, compliance, fund control, marketing, investor relations, other asset class product managers, and the Alternatives team. For example:
Analyze and lead rationalization of current alternative product and investment offering across PB, PWM, and Bear PCS, including establishing analytical frameworks and conducing complex business analyses Drive new fund/product development and build out new investment capabilities Coordinate across organizations to analyze and document end-to-end process of offering new products (e.g. legal and regulatory requirements, impact on front office trading/analytics systems, risk management requirements such as suitability, disclosure, legal review, etc), financial business demand assessment)Contribute to merger integration initiatives to bring consistency to the investments business, including processes, products, and solutions for PB, PWM, and Bear PCS Drive initiatives to ensure results are always delivered on-schedule, on-scope and on-budget Develop and manage project plans, and high level updates for senior management Provide PB and PCS with communications on project status, issues and impact to the business This position is based in New York and is open ended and offers excellent opportunities to move into other areas of our business. The position will require significant time commitment when necessary. There is a high level of senior-management exposure and all team members are expected to forge good working relationships with other groups across JPMorgan.
