PricewaterhouseCoopers is seeking a Strategic Risk Advisor to join their Risk and Controls Solutions practice in both Sydney and Melbourne.

The Strategic Risk Advisor is intended to play an important role in helping PwC's Risk and Controls solutions practice achieve its growth ambitious growth objectives.  Specifically, the role will be responsible for leading the sales and delivery of risk consulting engagements to our clients whilst working with the leadership team to develop our junior staff and evolve our offerings in light of changing client demands.

  • Coaching and mentoring junior staff on client projects and with their career/personal plans more broadly
  • Develop and build relationships with Client Lead Partners ('CLPs") responsible for our key client accounts
  • Proactively seek out and build relationships with existing and new clients
  • Lead the sale and delivery of risk advisory services to clients in a selection of the following areas:
    • Enterprise risk management framework review, design and implementation Business risk assessment and workshop facilitation
    • Risk analysis and modelling supporting strategic/capital investment decisions (e.g. real options analysis, probabilistic /monte-carlo simulation)
    • Financial risk and capital management

Skills and personal attributes required:

  • Proven experience and success in the sale of professional/advisory services or internal consulting type role
  • Proven expertise in at least two of the following areas:
    • Enterprise risk management.
    • Business risk assessment and workshop facilitation.
    • Strategic, business and operational risk analysis and modelling supporting strategic/capital investment decisions
    • Financial risk and capital management
    • Dynamic financial modelling
    • Statistical analysis incl. regression-analysis, statistical tests and Monte Carlo simulations.
  • Persuasive and influencing skills to drive change in clients
  • Personal impact and ability to build strong internal and external relationships
  • Ability to operate at the "C" level with our clients in time
  • Advanced problem solving and analytical skills (supported by appropriate academic/professional qualifications)
  • Strong team player
  • Flexibility to adapt skills across industry sectors and client issues
