Located in Downtown Toronto, our client is creating a high performance Operational Risk and Control Unit to assist in the design and implementation of a robust internal control framework within its Investment Finance department. Under the newly created role of Manager of Operational Risk and Controls, the successful candidate will assume responsibility for monitoring and assessing the effectiveness of internal controls and its policies and procedures framework.

Specific focus will be dedicated to the following:

• Contributing to the design and implementation of the internal control framework;
• Developing and maintaining communication channels;
• Monitoring internal controls and identifying opportunities to enhance and change these controls;
• Providing expertise regarding accounting for various investments including derivative transactions.

Requirements / Qualifications:

As a strong candidate for this high profile opportunity, you are a designated accounting professional with demonstrated progressive experience in finance and/or investments. Your superior capital markets/investment product knowledge, combined with your understanding of trade cycles/operations, will be complimented with your strong Investment Finance accounting expertise and your proven knowledge of Audit/controls/etc.
