Our client is a leading Risk Management consultancy firm with locations throughout Europe. They deliver Risk based solutions to a variety of financial clients specialising in integrated risk and performance measurement across Market, Credit, Operational, Treasury and Liquidity, Asset and Emerging Markets Risk. With Global Markets increasingly focused on delivering products and services through risk based competencies our client is seeing considerable growth across these disciplines. With new projects coming on line daily our client is now seeking to retain the services of a senior Risk Consultant with experience in the following: • Experience of working within Risk (preferred), Finance or IT change management project roles within Financial Institutions • Ability to collect and analyse data requirements for modelling/reporting/analysis purposes • Experience in coordinating and managing multiple project streams, both with a defined programme of work, and across a variety of stakeholders/owners • Strong project management skills, ensuring delivery of projects on time and on budget under challenging and adverse conditions • Credible at a senior level, with the confidence of presenting at committee level within client organisations • Strong business analysis skills, including preparation and presentations • Strong accounting and financial valuation skills related to risk management and pricing (e.g. regulatory, economic capital, economic value added (EVA) risk adjusted pricing, asset – liability management) OR • Strong computational programming, mathematical and statistical package skills • Specific knowledge of financial instruments (e.g. structured credit, equity / fixed income derivatives etc) – emphasis on understanding how to treat cash flow from these instruments / structures and using quantative techniques for pricing purposes • Exposure to internal (Economic capital) and regulatory (Basel II) capital calculations and processes preferred. • Experience of working on projects through full lifecycle from initiation to conclusion – managing issues, risks and resolving conflicts on be half of project sponsors • Experience of developing and managing teams Soft skills • Excellent communication skills, written and verbal • Proven success in contributing to a team-oriented environment • Ability to meet travel requirements • Strong analytical skills • Well-rounded interpersonal skills • Ability to work at department head and team-member level • Committed to achieving client satisfaction • Ability to manage teams effectively • Proven consultancy experience This role has an immediate start date for the successful candidate and offers the candidate in question an excellent opportunity to join a growing consultancy firm.
