My client, a leading corporate bank, is seeking to significantly increase its deposit-raising sales team in order to strengthen its funding capabilities, and seeks several senior people throughout the UK.

The role of the liquidity sales team is to increase the liquidity of the bank's balance sheet through raising deposits from a corporate client base through the sale and promotion of various deposit product related initiatives.

The role will involve working with the National Team Head, Asset Class Heads and Relationship Managing Directors to build a marketing plan and contact strategy and work with Relationship Directors to pitch to key clients and prospects.

A large part of the role will be focused on origination, and winning new deposit business for the bank.  There will be a large support structure in place, to cover prospecting, research and market analysis, enabling the successful candidates to focus on meeting potential clients and networking.

There will also be a heavily advisory aspect to the role, including advising on regulated investment products.  You will therefore ideally be FSA registered, or be enrolled on a course to become so.  The successful candidates will have sales experience, ideally from a UK-based bank, and focussed on deposit-raising, cash management or treasury sales.  As the role will involve lots client-facing responsibility you will have excellent interpersonal skills also.

With ambitious growth plans for this part of the business, these roles offer excellent career prospects in the team, or in other parts of the bank, as the roles will have a high internal profile.

Interviews are ongoing, so interested candidates should contact me urgently.
