Responsibilities



The Moody's Banking Team are looking for a talented lead analysts with exposure to the European or Nordic-Baltic financial institutions regulatory environment.. You must be fluent in the English and Swedish. Other Nordic languages would be highly beneficial. The Banking Group focuses on all bank and non-bank financial institution in the EMEA region. The key responsibility of an analyst is to ensure rating accuracy, produce research and respond timely to investor inquiries. This position is an excellent opportunity to manage ratings for a portfolio of high profile banks in the Nordic region. As part of the rating process, you will typically meet with senior management of the rated banks. You will also work closely together with the team of analysts and associates covering other EMEA countries. More details of the key objectives for an analyst; - Manage and maintain a high profile portfolio of bank and non-bank financial institutions - Perform and present in-depth fundamental credit analysis on a regular basis to rating committees to assign and maintain credit ratings for use in the bond and bank capital markets - Perform analysis of bond and loan documents - Write in-depth, high quality, insightful and focused research on credit trends, specific issuers or bank systems as a whole - Be actively involved in regular outreach event such as investor briefings, teleconferences, conference participations and third party presentations - Attend and conduct analytical meetings with issuers

Experience



- Substantial experience of financial credit analysis or related experience - In-depth knowledge of European or Nordic-Baltic bank analysis - Good understanding of complex financial transaction/structures, with a sound grasp of legal documentation and accounting treatment - Good understanding of European financial institutions regulatory environment - Strong quantitative aptitude and proven analytical skills - Well developed verbal and written communication skills - Good IT competency skills including advance Excel and PowerPoint - International work experience an advantage

Qualifications



- Strong academic background at least equivalent to MSc/MBA in relevant areas - CIMA/ACCA/CFA professional qualification would be highly beneficial

Key Tech and Non-Tech Skills



- Sound judgement capable of developing independent opinion and defending own views - Good communication skills - able to communicate clearly and succinctly, both verbally and in writing. - Ability to build strong professional relationships at all levels and represent the Moody's brand effectively at a senior level - Proactive/can do approach to work - Ability to deal with a multitude of tasks and issuers - Highly organised and efficient, with ability to multi-task and able to meet tight deadlines - Produces work to high standards. Develops and maintains systems for organising work and information - Able to mentor and develop more junior individuals in the team and demonstrates leadership potential - Willingness to travel across the Europe, Middle East and Africa region.

Languages



- Fluency in English and Swedish language skills is essential. Highly, beneficial to have other Nordic languages.
