My client a Tier 1 Bank urgently require a strong Unix SA to work on a large global team. The role is initially offered as a lucrative 12 month contract, although the role does have the option of turning permanent.

The role requires excellent communication skills to co-ordinate a large global team in a result driven environment.

Technical Requirements:

Essential Experience/Technical Knowledge:

• Candidate must have at least 5 years expert level experience in Solaris/Linux server administration, design and support in a large scale environment.
• Must have experience with Veritas SF/HA and skills to create a multi-node VCS cluster
• Must have strong project management skills
• Should have knowledge of VMware ESX administration
• Should have experience with RedHat Linux clustering
• Should have experience maintaining AIX systems (5.1 and 5.3 or newer)

Systems Experience:

• Knowledge of Solaris 8/9/10 on SPARC and x86, Sun server hardware, RedHat Linux 4/5, HP/IBM x86 based hardware, VMware ESX 3.x incl. VI, understanding of FC based SAN technologies
