An opportunity for an experienced claims assessor to join this global leader in insurance and financial services industry has come available.
Reporting to the retail claims manager you will be expected to ensure effective and efficient assessment of claims within existing frameworks.
Responsibilities include; the management of ongoing claims through regular analysis of medical & financial information, confirm and where appropriate substantiate claim decisions to claimants, trustees and /or intermediaries. You will have the authority to authorise or decline claims and will be expected to stay abreast of issues or changes wiithin the field
Participate in regular projects as required, whilst continually contributing and providing input to the overall strategy of the business unit.
To be successful you will have an extensive background in claims assessment and a basic knowledge on underwriting theory and practice as well as excellent communication skills. The role will suit someone who is able to empathise without compromising the business in anyway and take accountability for maintaining good business relationships between all stakeholders.
