Our client is a global and prestigious name within Wealth Management, serving affluent, high net worth and intermediary clients worldwide, providing international and private banking, fiduciary services, investment management and brokerage.
Purpose of role:
Our client is one of the largest manufacturers of capital protected products in the UK and it aims to continue to develop the market via third parties (IFAs and tied distribution) by continually creating innovative capital protected solutions and developing strongly its distribution model. In this context, they are establishing a Central Sales Team to compliment their field based sales capability to promote their investment product range. Within the central team, a central Business Development Manager, is responsible for promotion of investments using remote channels, predominantly telephone and email. A central Business Development Manager will also support the design and organising of campaigns and promotional events such as conferences and seminars and will work closely with field based sales people which will require account visits from time to time.
Financial performance: Responsible for delivering to pre agreed targets in respect to campaigns and specific accounts for which they will have an accountability. Targets will be made be based on activity and the accomplishment of investment product sales.
Key clients (internal and external)
Key clients will be third party investment advisers, predominantly IFAs but will also include some Wealth managers and insurance companies. The role holder will generally not have direct client contact as all dealings are through an intermediary. The role holder will be responsible for regional accounts but may also take responsibility for some national accounts as well. There is also a possibility that the successful candidate may be required to support one of the Wealth intermediary offshore locations as investment products are developed
Role requirements
Professional/technical experience
The candidate will need to have good investment knowledge, however training on specific products will be provided. Ideally the role holder will have had previous experience in third party investment distribution via an investment management or similar organisation. The candidate must be a self starter and team player with good time management skills and the ability to work under pressure. Accuracy and attention to detail are crucial as is the ability to maximise income potential. The candidate will require a good understanding of the economic environment and the impact of market data on the financial markets.
