Our client is a leading international VAT consultancy. Due to growth of the firm they currently seek to appoint an experienced VAT Consultant to join their Dublin office.

Key responsibilities:

• Provide VAT consulting advice and practical assistance on a wide variety of international VAT issues to both internal and external clients
• Provide VAT technical advice and practical assistance to clients in regulating their local VAT compliance matters throughout the EU
• Identify and develop new business opportunities with both existing and new clients to maximise their VAT refund capabilities
• Review the work of juniors to ensure it is technically accurate, commercial and easily understandable. Represent the company in various industry groups and before governments, VAT administrations and the EU Commission

The Individual:

• Professional tax qualifications (AITI) (in addition to ACA or ACCA, preferred but not essential)
• Solid technical understanding of VAT schemes and frameworks
• Highly developed interpersonal skills and ability to develop key relationships
• Significant experience with international VAT engagements
• European languages (desired but not essential)

As this is an international group, travel would form part of the duty of the role (mainly within EU). Career development both local and overseas is available to the successful candidate. Remuneration will commensurate with experience and potential.
