Unicorn Capital Saudi Arabia (UCSA), majority owned by Unicorn Investment Bank (Unicorn), has received approval from Saudi Arabia’s Capital Market Authority (CMA) to commence operations in the Kingdom. UCSA will provide the Saudi market with an integrated and comprehensive range of Islamic investment products and services, with the full support and depth of Unicorn, an established Islamic investment bank headquartered in Bahrain.

This newly created role, Head of Asset Management Saudi Arabia, provides the opportunity for an experienced professional with extensive knowledge of portfolio management , structuring and launching listed equities related products (such as equities and fixed income funds, equities linked notes, PPPI's and other structured products). The position represents an opportunity to a professional with hands on experience with listed equities, to build a business, develop a customer franchise in Saudi Arabia and tailor products to meet their clients needs, working with the MD of Global Asset Management and the CEO in Riyadh.

The successful applicant will be responsible for managing the business unit and will;

• Design and implement a business plan for Listed Securities (equitiesy, Sukuk, balanced portfolio) as well as structured products

• Develop the listed securities team and oversee the execution of the business plan

• Oversee the coordination of facilitating documentation and approval process for product structuring and launch

• Coordinate AM activities with the CEO KSA and Global Head of Asset Management

• Establish and develop close relationships with the regulators,CMA, and ensure the regulations and requirements are met

• Work closely with executive team to develop and increase assets under management and increase quality of income

• Formulate investment strategies making investment and product recommendations as part of the Investment committee

• Develop discretionary portfolio mandates, coordinating with the AM Team on portfolio monetization and asset allocation for the Saudi Arabian client base

• Develop an understanding of market trends, dynamics & competitive landscape to support the Team in Bahrain in the structuring process

• Build UCSA’s Asset Management business and develop a customer franchise tailoring products to meet their needs

• Establish relationships with local financial institutions and investment houses for the purpose of identifying distribution networks to facilitate marketing activities

• Develop marketing strategies and coordinate the execution of programmes

• Oversee  systems support including Middle Office & Back Office capabilities, performance management and comprehensive data/information review

• Work extensively across a broad range of stakeholders including; Clients, Strategic partners, Brokers, Financial institutions, Lawyers, Regulatory authorities, advertising agencies

The be succesful in this role you must have an extensive track record in investment and fund management, 10+ years experience in; investment or commercial banks, international/regional asset managers, brokers or fund managers  and possess;

• Strong business management and marketing skills

• Diverse marketing background: Product structuring & management, promotion, distribution, pricing & research

• Saudi Securities experience and network of contacts preferable

• Fluency in Arabic and in English

• Sound educational/professional qualifications (MBA, CFA, or investment certification)
