Back Office is responsible for ensuring effective deal processing, contract administration, settlement and reporting procedures which provide for complete and timely revenue recovery.
The Global Projects Team within Back Office is currently recruiting an individual to work on a variety of departmental initiatives associated with IT developments, integration and business process improvements. As new intiatives are developed by the business, the Global Projects team is responsible for analysing the potential impact on the department, addressing issues and
working through the project life cycle to deliver the business requirements within the agreed implementation timescales. The successful candidate will be responsible for planning, co-ordinating requirements and implementation, and reporting on multiple deliverables. This position will require time in all three locations, Essen, London and Swindon.

Your tasks:

• Facilitate the delivery of increased automation of processes within the global BO
• Enabling projects to be transferred effectively from the Global Projects Team to the operational Commodity Teams
• Engage in the change management process and cascade training to the Commodity Teams
• Maintenance of documentation for IT enhancements and communication of change across the various teams
• Enhance global cross locational knowledge and development within the team

Your profile:

• 3-5 years experience in Energy Trading or Project Activity
• Educated to degree level or equivalent
• Candidate fluent in German & English
• An active team member within a large multi-location organisation
• Reliable and highly motivated, with the ability to initiate and implement change
• Excellent understanding of business process with a drive to enhance change
• Accurate, with good attention to detail, and able to work to tight deadlines
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
• A good level of understanding of energy trading, markets and products
• Ability to analyse and solve complex business issues
• A good knowledge of energy trading systems, databases and spreadsheets
• Flexibility in working across locations to support cross functional and multi locational projects
