Our client are currently integrating middle and back office platforms across the globe. They are looking for an experienced leader who can manage tactical development and help with analysis and implementation of strategic platforms for Hong Kong operations. The role will report to head of the Operations Technology Group for Asia.

The firm have traditionally had different platforms for each of the regions in EU, US, Japan, HK, SG and other Asia markets, but are currently on the path to become a global investment banking player and wants to move to world class global platforms. In the medium to long term, this should provide scalability, flexibility as well as lower cost of ownership. The global platform should satisfy Hong Kong requirements and there should be a smooth transition from existing platforms. A key part of the role is to help in the firm’s transition to global investment banking player.

The Role

The role involves understanding current technology landscape in Hong Kong and work with appropriate global teams for analysis and implementation of global platforms.

The firm’s senior operations management team for Asia is based out of Hong Kong. The role also involves facing off to the Hong Kong based operations management team, and helping to program manage the delivery of tactical work for specific functional areas, such as, settlement, margin operations, etc.

Your Profile

• The successful applicant should have:
• Knowledge of back office solutions available in the industry
• Knowledge of key back office processes
• Managed onshore teams as large as 15.
• Experienced with using offshore vendors
• Managed large projects and provided project updates to senior management
• Around 10 years of experience in Operations Technology with a global investment backing
