Position Description:

Responsibilities
The successful candidate will assume responsibility for the commercial success of one or more Equity Analytics product initiatives, and will immediately take on important strategic business development projects. Specific responsibilities include:
• market analysis of existing or emerging client needs, industry trends, and competitor analysis
• execution of new product initiatives
• develop plans to increase penetration and grow revenues for existing products
• P&L driven business plan development and execution
The role involves working extensively with MSCI Barra's clients and internal sales, research and operations groups.
Successful candidates have the opportunity to make meaningful immediate contributions to our strategic planning process and the execution of business plans across functions, and to develop detailed insights into the businesses of a wide range of market participants, such as asset managers, broker dealers, pension plans, hedge funds, etc.



Skills Required:
The successful candidate must have inquisitive, analytical, client-centric mind and the drive to steer cross-functional projects through the organization with limited supervision. In addition, candidates will be assessed for:
• Broad knowledge of the investment process and the roles and challenges faced by our clients in their key units (portfolio management, risk and performance reporting functions, marketing and sales)
• 7+ years of relevant experience. Of particular interest are:
- Experience on an investment team with meaningful business responsibility and client exposure
- Experience in a client facing team that with meaningful exposure to the investment process
- Experience in a product management team delivering products or services to the investment community.

• Advanced degree from a highly regarded institution
