Extremely prestigious global investment bank is seeking a talented Data Analyst to work in their market data production environment.
THE ROLE:
Service provision for securities market data for all fund management processes supporting investment management, trading and accounting systems
The control and validation of time series data including security pricing, asset master, index, corporate actions, trading data and market level data
Management of daily production and data integrity assignments
Liaison with market data vendors and market dealers to obtain the best and most accurate source for security reference and pricing data
Ability to work to strict deadlines
Liaison with internal client groups, managing expectations of service delivery and specific data content or coverage initiatives
Operate as part of a global team with colleagues in other global locations
Constantly evaluate processes and procedures for inefficiencies, and make recommendations for improvement.
Maintain procedural documentation and update as necessary
Perform testing of in-house software and external vendor products
KEY SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:
Applicable university or college finance related degree or significant experience in market data production system maintenance
Two to three years experience of working in financial services industry, preferably in banking, investment management.
Knowledge of investment products, specializing in either equity or fixed income a bonus
Experience working with complex systems and data
Basic Programming Knowledge (SQL) will be a major plus but not a necessity.
