Our Client:

This international investment banking group has emerged within the Australian market as a strong player providing financial solutions across Corporate Australia and has been consulting to both listed companies and a large number of key emerging enterprises regarding their growth strategies. The Corporate Advisory team principally advise on:

  • mergers and acquisitions
  • divestments
  • capital restructurings
  • capital raisings
  • general strategic initiatives

The Corporate Advisory team also work with the Private Equity team to assist on the execution of transactions for the direct investments group. Directors are from International Investment Banking backgrounds and are well equipped to assist with on-the-deal training to the Analysts to enhance your career development.

The Opportunity:

This position is responsible for assisting in the execution, and potentially origination, of merger and acquisition, and capital raising opportunities for clients of the firm. The role entails a significant degree of financial analysis, research, writing of IMs and presentations, and management of transaction processes.

  • General project management of transaction processes, including trade sale and due diligences
  • Financial modelling and analysis
  • Undertaking of company valuations using discounted cash flow, multiple-based techniques, and alternative methodologies
  • Industry and company research and analysis in the origination of mergers & acquisitions
  • Drafting of Information Memorandums and Prospectuses
  • Development of targeted presentations for senior corporate executives with major focus on demonstration of financial and commercial viability of proposals
  • Liaison with accounting, legal, and tax advisers
  • Client relationship management

The Successful candidate: *Minimum 2-3+ years corporate finance experience *Strong financial modeling & analysis skills
